These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of tokobr.com and any orders you place with us. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are
“Tâmara”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Tâmara, a chocolatier of date confections based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (full registered entity name and studio address to be added). Our website is tokobr.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to place an order. By ordering you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
3. Products and pricing
- All products on tokobr.com are described as accurately as we can manage. Photography is for illustration; finished pieces may vary slightly in shape, sheen, or shade because they are made by hand.
- All prices are displayed in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and are charged in AED at checkout. AED is the only currency in which orders are accepted at this time.
- Prices include applicable taxes where legally required. Shipping costs and any import duties are shown before order confirmation.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a published price is materially wrong (e.g., a typo or system error), we will contact you before processing the order and you may cancel for a full refund.
4. Order acceptance and contract formation
- Submitting an order is an offer to buy at the listed price. We accept your offer when we send the order confirmation email — at that point a contract is formed.
- We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion before shipping, including (but not limited to): suspected fraud, addresses we cannot ship to, items shown as in stock but later confirmed unavailable, or pricing errors.
- If we cancel an order before shipping, we will refund any amount already charged within 14 days.
5. Payment
- Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details on how payment information is handled.
- By submitting payment details you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge the order total to your chosen payment method.
- If a payment is declined or charged back without legitimate basis, we may suspend or cancel the order and the associated account.
6. Shipping and delivery
- We ship from the United Arab Emirates to the destinations listed at checkout. Available destinations and shipping rates are shown before you confirm the order.
- Estimated transit times are estimates only and exclude customs clearance.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier hands over the package at your delivery address (or, where applicable, when you collect from a pickup point).
- For destinations outside the UAE, import duties, taxes, and customs fees are your responsibility unless explicitly described as pre-paid at checkout.
- If a package is returned to us because no one was available to receive it or because incorrect address details were provided, we may charge a reshipment fee. Perishability may prevent a reshipment — see Section 7.
7. Returns, refunds, and the perishable-goods nature of our products
Our products are handmade fresh perishable food (chocolate-coated dates with limited shelf life). For food safety and product integrity reasons:
- We do not accept returns of opened, partially-consumed, or temperature-compromised products.
- We do not accept change-of-mind returns of sealed products either, because we cannot guarantee the cold-chain integrity of a re-circulated box.
- Under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(d), perishable goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. UAE Consumer Protection Law similarly recognises an exception for perishable items.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong
We absolutely will fix it. Contact hello@tokobr.com within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number,
- A description of the issue, and
- Photographs of the affected items and packaging.
We will, at our discretion, replace the affected items or refund the price of those items (including any shipping cost proportionally allocated to them). Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.
Cancellation before shipping
If your order has not yet shipped and you wish to cancel, email hello@tokobr.com as quickly as possible. We will cancel and refund where the order is still in our queue. Once a package is in the carrier’s possession, it cannot be cancelled.
8. Warranty and quality
We warrant that products will be of merchantable quality at the time of delivery and will conform to the description on the product page. We make no further warranty, express or implied, except where local consumer-protection law mandates additional rights that cannot be waived.
If a product fails to meet this warranty, your remedy is described in Section 7 (replacement or refund of the affected items).
9. Allergens and dietary information
Our products contain or may have come into contact with: dates, dairy (milk chocolate variants), tree nuts (almond, pistachio, walnut, cashew, macadamia, hazelnut), wheat traces, soy lecithin (in chocolate). We process multiple nut varieties in the same kitchen — we cannot guarantee a nut-free product even where the visible recipe excludes nuts.
If you have a serious allergy, please do not order. Detailed allergen information per product is on each product page; please re-read it before each order as recipes may change.
10. Intellectual property
- The Tâmara brand name, logo, product names, photography, written copy, and site design are owned by Tâmara (or licensed to us) and protected by trademark and copyright law.
- You may not copy, redistribute, or use any of this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
- You may share product photography to your personal social media with credit to Tâmara, provided the use is non-commercial.
11. Acceptable use of the site
When using tokobr.com you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our infrastructure, or other users’ accounts.
- Use the site to transmit malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with normal operation.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content from the site for commercial purposes.
- Place orders fraudulently, including using stolen payment cards or impersonating another person.
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of this section.
12. Account responsibilities
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill — even if we have been advised of the possibility.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government action, carrier disruption, power or telecommunications failure, or interruption of our suppliers or service providers.
15. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, (specific emirate and dispute-resolution forum to be added — likely Dubai courts, subject to legal review). Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts, save where mandatory local consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you rights to sue in your home courts.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site for at least 30 days before taking effect. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
For orders placed before the effective date, the version of the Terms in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
